The Infertility Guidebook
Stage 8: …and Beyond
The worst thing about infertility is that there’s so much unknown. Within your own journey, the diagnostic process, treatment options, and even just how and why certain treatments do or don’t work.
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment, unfortunately.
That means a lot of trial and error, a lot of second-guessing, and a lot of negative pregnancy tests. But at the end of the day, your journey to motherhood never has to end. Just because you’ve gotten through the 7 previous stages I’ve walked through here, does not mean you’re at the end of the road!
Depending on your diagnosis, there are always other tests and options you can discuss with your doctor.
Surrogacy and adoption are also two great routes to explore, if you feel called to that, and your own body has had enough.
Ultimately, if you’re not ready to give up, then DON’T! It may not happen how you envisioned it, or when you wanted it to (we’re probably already long past those assumptions), but you will get a baby someway, somehow. Keep on fighting.
If you’ve fought infertility and had success, I’d love to hear your story in the comments!

*This should go without saying, but this is the internet and therefore it doesn’t: I’m not a doctor, and you need to consult your doctor about any kind of medical treatment.
